AETEL provides infrastructure and a collaborative environment for people to explore technology and all its applications, from the most personal ones to the most amazingly collective. We also organize lectures about electronics, programming, science and anything that other members (or guests) are willing to share.
As an IEEE student branch (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the largest engineering organization in the world, AETEL members attend meetings, competitions and international conferences to meet people who share their interests and to keep updated with the latest developments of the different technology sectors. Like the Iberian Student Branch Congress 2015, organized in conjunction with the student branch of the University of Alcalá.
A different space:
- A place for creation: AETEL has always been from the beginning the place in the school to carry out your electronic projects. Our premises have all the tools of an electronic laboratory and DIY machinery manufacturing: CNC, reflow oven, solder station, electronic components and a pair of 3D printers.
- An active and participatory community: AETEL partners, besides being very friendly, organize to carry out projects by combining their knowledge in various disciplines.
- AETEL fully supports Free Hardware and Free Software. All our projects are released and distributed over the Internet.
There’s no need to be a member to drop by our local. If you have an idea and you need a hand with the technical side, you want to make something and have no place for it or you just want to chat stop by our space and you will received with open arms.
